Thanks for your visit! Here at our lab we are interested in describing patterns and inferring historical processes using birds as models and mitogenomes and nuclear sub-genomic data as our windows to the past. Systematics and phylogeography are the main focus of our research, but we are also interested in the evolution of physiological traits, ecological niches and acoustic signals. In parallel to our efforts in basic research, we are also interested in exploring innovative ways to teach biology. We are based at the Federal University of São Paulo at Diadema.
